Hotel Madhuban, and the hospitality of the Patan family have been written about in the leading travel guides of the world. More importantly, the messages that we get from satisfied guests is what gives us true pleasure. Here’s a sampling.
Hotel Madhuban appears in Alastair Sawday’s Special Places to Stay, India
Lonely planet says
Madhuban is heartily recommended if you crave a homely ambience with no hassles whatsoever. The more expensive rooms have fine furnishings and the Royal Suite has a Jacuzzi .There’s also an indoor restaurant, or you can eat out in the pleasant garden. For dessert don’t forget to try the extremely delicious Maalpuas(sweet chapatis) There is also an internet facility here. The owners do not pay commission and by prior arrangement will collect you from the train station or bus stand.

Dear Mrs and Mr Singh,
We are now back in Australia. We wish to thank you for the lovely stay we had at “Madhuban”. We were really delighted with the accommodation, the beautiful atmosphere and environment and the hospitality of yourselves and all your staff. We hope to come back another time and spend a whole week at Madhuban and see a lot more of lovely Jaipur. We will recommend your hotel to anyone we know enquiring about accommodation in Jaipur. Thank you once again.
Kind regards.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Singh,
We had a most enjoyable stay at your lovely hotel. Everything about the hotel surpassed our already elevated expectations. Our room was nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. Your staff’s service is very helpful without being obtrusive. The restaurant is charming and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our very refreshing dip in your swimming pool after spending a dusty day in Pushkar.
But most of all, we really appreciated you allowing us to return on our last day, after having checked out, and being able to shower and freshen up before our very long journey back to Vancouver from Jaipur (34 hours total travel time). And for you to have a car waiting for us to take us to the train station, without us even mentioning needing one – that was just the icing on the cake!
I will be very pleased to be able to recommend your hotel to anyone travelling to Jaipur.
Best regards,
Grant Hurrle
Dear Madhuban,
On our recent trip to India, the Madhuban was by far the best hotel we stayed at for price, comfort, friendliness, honesty, reliability etc. I have e-mailed the Lonely Planet Guide to say all this and to urge them to give you the highest recommendation.
Thanks to you all,
Richard Hubbard, and the Grice-Hubbard family.
Dear Dicky,
I just want to let you know that we loved staying in your beautiful guest house, the service, the charmy room, the food,in other words………we loved everything even the fact that your place is a little ‘far’ from the busy and bustlyng center of Jaipur, it is a very needed oasis after a few hours spent in the colorful ,hectic, crazy center of town, everything was up to our expectations and faithful to the description on the ‘lonely planet’ guide book, even better, i know you meet a lot of people and probably you do not remember who i am,after all we were there only two nights, but it was nice to shake your hand and finally give a ‘face’ to the hand that wrote back to me everytime i had a question…………….and i had many questions, even some you could had ignored , but you took your time to help me anyway. I will suggest your ‘home’ to anybody who will come to Jaipur and if i will be there again ………i know for sure where to stay! I wish you the best and thank you !

Dear Dicky
Now that we have returned to the UK, we would like to thank you again for all your help in making our stay at Jaipur such a pleasant experience. Of all the guesthouses we stayed at, we are all agreed that Madhuban was the best. The rooms were nice, the garden lovely, and the laid-back atmosphere was most civilised and relaxing. All the staff were most pleasant and helpful, and your dogs are fondly rememberd by my son – especially the dachshund! Please extend our thanks to your reception staff in particular, and for sending my passport on so quickly. I hope we will return to India in the future, and look forward to reacquainting ourselves with your hotel.
Kind regards

Dear Dicky,
There’s one month now since we came back from India. Often times we think of you and your wonderful house:the memories we keep from Jaipur are the best of all. I am sending you a photo of the Madhuban.I hope you can open it. I am also sending you by mail two paper copies of that photo. Our stay at the Madubhan is the best of all these Indian memories, because of you, your kindness, your warm reception, the quality of the service and the beauty of our room.We often speak of it. And we hope to see you again one of these days.I hope you are well, you and your family. We are sending you our best greetings. And again many thanks for your warm reception.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dicky,
I stayed in your lovely hotel for 3 nights in November 2008. I am a retired pastry cheff from Vancouver, Canada and I worked for 5 stars international hotels for over 40 years. I was extremelly impressed by the tidiness of your hotel and by the professionalism of you and your staff.
I would strongly recommend your beautiful stablishment to anyone travelling to Jaipur,India. I found the place to be very cozy, friendly and it is perfect for anyone looking for a family atmosphere.
My room was spotless, comfortable and had a great decoration.
I thank you again for making my staying in India very pleasant and memorable.
A million thanks,
